Delete Your Blutik Account

You can delete your Blutik account and associated personal data at any time. Two paths are available:

Option 1 — In-app (fastest)

Open the Blutik app and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Follow the on-screen confirmation. Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately.

Option 2 — Web request (works without the app)

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. To verify ownership, please include:

• The phone number registered to your Blutik account (in international format, e.g. +91 XXXXXXXXXX).
• Your Blutik username, if you remember it.
• A short statement confirming that you are the account holder requesting deletion.

We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

What gets deleted

• Profile information (display name, username, bio, photo).
• Your posts, comments, reactions, and contest entries.
• Your direct messages (copies held on our servers).
• Your followers/following graph.
• Device tokens and push notification data.
• Usage analytics tied to your account.

What we may retain (and why)

• Abuse/safety records (up to 180 days): required under India's IT Rules 2021 and to protect other users from evasion of bans.
• Legal/financial records: retained only where required by law (tax, audit, disputes).
• Content from others referencing you: messages sent by you to other users remain in those users' inboxes unless they also delete them.

After deletion is complete

You will receive an email confirmation (if you provided an email) and your username may be released back to the pool for future users. The decision is final and cannot be reversed.
